What are you doing for Chinese New Year weekend? We will be celebrating John’s extended family at this Chinese restaurant just like we did last year.
Also in celebration of Chinese New Year, you might want to catch a free movie at Shangri-la’s 7th Spring Film Festival, ongoing until February 10. Below are the screening schedules and synopses, and you can visit the Ateneo Celadon page for further information.
2 BECOME 1. An advertising executive Bingo Leung finds new meaning in her once carefree life after discovering a lump on her breast and begins a close relationship with Doctor V and teen friend, Sing.
PIANO IN A FACTORY. A multi-awarded family drama on a father’s struggle in going through divorce and fighting for the custody of his daughter as he tries to pursue his passion in low-paying music industry.
Pinoy Eats World will be at the Podium for another World Eats event! Participants include Alexandra Rocha of Pinkerton, Jeremy Slagle of Mr. Delicious, Karen Yang of Chez Karine, Denise Celdran of Edgy Veggy, Marco Lobregat of Ministry of Mushrooms, and Bea Misa and Rob Crisostomo of Ritual, among others. I really hope I can drop by, since I really enjoyed the World Eats event last October.
Ongoing until February 10 is the Art Fair at The Link Carpark, just outside Glorietta in Ayala Center Makati.
Here’s another art event happening at Kanto at The Collective: Pieces of Sheet, Paper Works for P500. Featuring live art, spoken word and poetry reading, open mic and more.
I’ve also been wanting to check out Cucina Andare, Manila first weekend food truck market! Have you been there? Which of the food trucks would you recommend?
And it’s horror movie time. John and I are planning to go and see this.
Finally, I just wanted to share this video that I stumbled upon via Facebook. It celebrates the kindness of strangers and paying it forward. I love it.
Hope you have a good one!
