Just discovered a great new Thai restaurant, Thai Pan in QC!
Such a lovely little glass-enclosed place, the restaurant almost looks like a greenhouse. The inside rooms are filled with all-white tables and chairs and are accentuated with handpainted patterns on the walls that look almost like wallpaper. I’ve heard that Thai Pan is co-owned by Ivy Almario.
We were there upon the invitation of our friend Kaloy, and I’m really glad we discovred the place as we very rarely venture out into Tomas Morato.
Everything was good, but I particularly enjoyed the fish fillet with tamarind sauce and basil and the bagoong rice.

Mango with sticky rice for dessert, of course. (This is a Thai delicacy that I find even more delicious in the Philippines, as I think Philippine mangoes taste better than Thai mangoes.)

The restaurant is on Scout Lazcano Street, on the alley opposite Romulo Cafe. On Tomas Morato, simply look for Alfredo’s Steakhouse and enter the street on the opposite side, and you’ll see Thai Pan on your right.
